Drought stress restructures grapevine root microbial communities. Under reduced irrigation (25% field capacity), fungal composition shifted significantly, with the root endosphere showing the greatest change. Black-foot disease fungi increased at higher irrigation levels, while the arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus Funneliformis was enriched under severe drought. This suggests potential microbial contributions to plant survival.
