Application of Trichoderma bio-organic fertilizer (BF) significantly improved crop growth and yield compared to organic fertilizer (OF) in a three-year field study. Soil analysis revealed that BF influenced soil fungal communities, with pot experiments showing that fungal, but not bacterial, communities were crucial for growth promotion. The findings underscore the importance of fungal interactions in enhancing plant growth through biofertilizer applications.
