Across 21 dryland sites, RestoreNet evaluated seeding and soil surface treatments (pits, mulch, ConMod) over 3 years. Soil treatments and timing of precipitation significantly improved seedling emergence, while near-term climate-adapted seed mixes were more effective than those for warmer conditions. Key strategies include using soil treatments, forecasting climate, managing exotic species, and multiple seeding.
