Soil fertility impact on recruitment and diversity of the soil microbiome in sub-humid tropical pastures in Northeastern Brazil

Soil fertility impact on recruitment and diversity of the soil microbiome in sub-humid tropical pastures in Northeastern Brazil

Soil fertility affects microbial functions and diversity. In the tropical pastures of Brazil, high fertility (HF) soils showed greater bacterial diversity and complex interactions, with dominant Proteobacteria and enriched nitrogen-cycling groups. Low fertility (LF) soils had increased Acidobacteria and focused on processes like ureolysis and cellulolysis.
