Accurate SOC quantification is crucial for soil carbon crediting programs. In this study, authors conducted a blind external service comparison among eight labs, revealing high variability in SOC measurements due to different soil processing methods. Finer grinding and proper drying improved consistency. Fourier Transformed Infrared Spectroscopy showed high agreement with reference methods for SOC, TC, and SIC quantification.
