Soil microbiota significantly impacts plant performance, and bio-organic fertilizers can enhance this effect. In a long-term field experiment with cabbage, adding Trichoderma guizhouense to organic fertilizers increased plant biomass by altering the soil fungal community, boosting beneficial fungal taxa. Thus, both the direct inoculum and its impact on soil microbial diversity enhanced plant growth.
