The pre-treatment of olive plants with Pseudomonas reactans Ph3R3 promoted olive performance and tolerance to drought by improving leaf biomass, soil C and N availability, and leaf water content in a greenhouse experiment. Under drought, this treatment boosted net CO2 assimilation, carbohydrate production, and antioxidant capacity, supporting better stress management and olive productivity under a sustainable approach.
